Forced migration
It was a home invasion
Triangulated
Strangulated
We heard shots, it's a gun
The knife was already in her hand
1, 2, 3, stabs to 40
everything was bloody
38 mm on his waist, coke and rage
He came with all the courage
In a wheel-chair, now he regrets
Since that night, we will never forget
I can't sleep anymore without a double check
They came in on execution mode
Now we are in paranoid mode
It was my first self-defence
But if wasn't for me
Where would we be?
It was us against them
It was 3 against one
They choose the wrong fam
All beaten up, he is still alive
But we are the ones trying to survive
Wasn't really my first time
I have seen a pale girl between a trash pile
I learned about death with violence
Even before my first period came
No more playing outside
Everybody is looking at us because we survived
Mom felt forced to migrate,
then she forced me to migrate
Because of the violence and poverty
But isn't it more violent to be here?
I don't even have a citizenship
You have to integrate and assimilate
Forget about your past they said
I did all the things but was too late
I got to pretend and consent
While they bully me cause I got an accent
What happens to your body
when you bury your trauma alive?
You process everything in surviving mode
because there is nothing else you know
